An officer working the game recognized the boy inside the stadium at the Friday, Oct. 14 Liberty-Easton game, police said.

Officers confirmed the boy was still reported as a runaway, and — as officers tried to speak with him — the boy became uncooperative and tried to run away.

Officers were able to safely secure the boy before he could run. During this time, officers saw a loaded handgun concealed in his waist band.

The boy is charged with:

  • Possession of a Weapon on School Property
  • Person not to possess, use, manufacture, control, sell or transfer firearms
  • Firearms not to be carried with a license
  • Resisting arrest or other law enforcement

The juvenile was being held at the Northampton County Juvenile Justice Center.
